For a Marriage to become a 100% Marriage it involves so many things, I will try to explain here. But there is no better way to explain 100% without first make you to understand other kinds of marriage we have around today in the world.
4 CLASSIFICATION OF MARRIAGES
There are majorly four categories of Marriages in the world today, knowing each of them will help you to know the best and go for it, they are:
1：MALE DOMINATING MARRIAGE (MDM)
This can be a 90/10, 80/20, 70/30 or even 100/0 Marriage in favour of the Man. This is the kind of marriage where the Man does little or nothing for the Wife and Children beyond paying bills, fees and rents any other thing in the House does not concern him.
He is not involve in raising the Children or in keeping the House, he believes anything that has to do with Parenting and house work is Woman thing, he should not get involve in it because it is demeaning for a Man to do so.
He is like an Emperor, ruling and commanding his subjects, he is like a garrison commander ruling over His captives.
This kind of Marriage is always difficult for Women. Millions of the.
2: FEMALE MANIPULATIVE MARRIAGE (FMM)
This is the kind of Marriage where the Wife is in charge, she is at her best manipulative mode, she is totally in charge at home, she may not have any contribution, but she will be so powerful to take over the life of her Husband for her own selfish interest and family of the husband must not get close. like MDM above, this kind of Marriage can be a 90/10, 80/20, 70/30 or even 100/0 Marriage in favour of the Woman
3: HALF-WAY MARRIAGE (50/50 MARRIAGE): The half-way or 50/50 marriage is an arrangement of trade-offs and compromises, with spouses keeping score so one person never gets more or gives more than the other. Serving and submitting to one another are replaced by an emphasis on getting what is rightfully yours.
you do your thing and I will do mine. It is more like a contractual agreement than a covenant relationship. Husbands and wives in a 50/50 relationship live by an unspoken credo reflected in the following statements:
— I will pull only my weight; you must pull your own.
— If you expect me to meet your needs, you must meet mine.
— I will serve you if you serve me
— I will love you if you love me
— I will do my share of the work, if you will do your share.
— I will go the extra mile for you, if you will go the extra mile for me.
— Put me first and I will put you first
— If I give up something for you, I expect you to give up something for me.
— I will love you as long as you love me
The 50/50 marriage is an arrangement of trade-offs and compromises, with spouses keeping score so one person never gets more or gives more than the other. Serving and submitting to one another are often replaced by a strong emphasis on getting what is rightfully yours. This is part of what the apostle Paul was talking about when he warned, “Don’t just pretend that you love others. Really love them.†The 50/50 marriage is a pretense, a sham, a contract, far from the real thing.
It’s easy to slide into a 50/50 arrangement if you’re not careful. Why? Because we all desire to have our own needs met. We all crave the understanding and attention that results when someone cares for us without expecting anything in return. So we are all quick to recognize when we are not receiving what we deeply want. This me-first attitude can get you complaining, for example, that your spouse never spends time with you or that you had to do the dirty work while your spouse was busy with his or her hobbies.
This kind of Marriage always lead to complains, criticism, comparison and condemnation.
4: 100% MARRIAGE
We can call it the 100/100 marriage. This is not serve -me-I -serve-you arrangement Instead,
Is is a Marriage of lovers sacrificing, protecting and caring for each other
It is a Marriage of two servants of Jesus, serving Christ and serving each other
It is a Marriage of two sold out people making their Marriage work better selflessly working towards the same goal of building stronger, better and sweeter Marriage.
It is a Marriage of “even if you have nothing, I am there for youâ€
PORTRAIT OF A 100% MARRIAGE
100% Marriage or 100/100 marriage looks more like this:
— Each spouse is 100 percent sold out to the lordship of Jesus Christ in the marriage.
— Each spouse is 100 percent sold out to the authority of the Word of God in the marriage.
— Each spouse is 100 percent sold out to the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit to help him or her love, honor, and cherish the other selflessly.
— Each spouse is ready to serve their spouse as unto the lord
— Each spouse is ready to communicate effectively
— Each spouse is 100% faithful to their marital vow
— Each spouse is committed to make the Marriage work by all means
— Each spouse sees the marriage as a mission field
— Each spouse is 100 percent sold out to discovering and meeting the other’s needs.
— Each spouse is ready to protect and preserve the Marriage
— Each spouse is ready to guide, defended and protect his or spouse.
— Each Spouse is 100% committed to make the marriage work
— Each spouse is ready to take 100% responsibility for the state of the Marriage
— Each spouse is willing and ready to grow, improve and become a better spouse
Each spouse is ready to do everything to make the marriage work better and make it sweeter
— Each party is 100% ready to make sacrifice for the Marriage without been forced
— Each spouse is totally committed to nourish the other party
— Each party is 100% selfless and dependable
— Each spouse is 100% committed to cherish each other
— Each spouse is 100% committed to romance and playfulness
— Each spouse is 100% committed to satisfy the other party sexually
— Each spouse is 100 percent sold out to preferring and honoring the other above self—with no keeping score!
— And since no one is 100 percent selfless, each spouse is 100 percent sold out to confessing and forgiving offenses when they happen.
This is what the lord had in mind when he created marriage, this is His idea of what marriage should be, this is what he want and desire you to do in your marriage, this is what is known as 100% Marriage.
