VENO tv | FROM THE PULPIT SUNDAY TONIC WITH PASTOR PRINCESS VENISA OJO Popularly known as Omo Oba Jesu FAITH TRIUMPHS IN TROUBLE
Date: 19-10-26

Bible Texts: Romans 5:1–5; 1 Corinthians 14:1
By Pastor Princess Venisa Ojo (Omo Oba Jesu)

Faith is not the absence of trouble but the confidence that God remains faithful even in the midst of life's storms.

This Sunday, Pastor Princess Venisa Ojo, popularly known as Omo Oba Jesu, brings a powerful message of encouragement, spiritual strength and unwavering trust in God, entitled “Faith Triumphs in Trouble.”
Drawing inspiration from Romans 5:1–5, the woman of God reminds believers that justification by faith brings peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

According to the Scriptures, through Christ we have access by faith into the grace in which we stand, rejoicing in the hope of God's glory.
The passage further teaches that believers can find strength even in tribulations because suffering produces perseverance, perseverance develops character, and character produces hope.
And this hope does not disappoint because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.

When Trouble Comes, Let Faith Speak
Trouble is a reality of human existence. The righteous may face persecution, disappointment, sickness, financial difficulties and unexpected challenges. However, the presence of trouble does not mean the absence of God.
Faith becomes victorious when believers refuse to surrender their confidence in God's promises.
The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 5:7 that we walk by faith, not by sight.
This means that our confidence must not depend entirely on what our physical eyes can see.
Consider the experience of the three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Their faith remained unshaken even when threatened with the burning fiery furnace. God demonstrated His power in the midst of their trial.
Likewise, Daniel's faith remained steadfast in the lions' den, and God delivered him.
These biblical examples demonstrate that genuine faith can withstand opposition.

Tribulation Produces Perseverance
Romans 5:3–4 reveals a spiritual progression:
Tribulation ? Perseverance ? Character ? Hope.
God can use difficult experiences to strengthen our spiritual maturity.
A believer who perseveres through trials develops patience, discipline, humility and a deeper dependence on God.
Therefore, Christians should not interpret every challenge as divine punishment. Some difficulties become opportunities for spiritual growth.

Pursue Love and Desire Spiritual Gifts
In 1 Corinthians 14:1, Apostle Paul encourages believers to pursue love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially prophecy.
This instruction reminds us that faith must operate alongside love.
Spiritual gifts without love cannot reflect the fullness of Christ's character.
A victorious Christian life is not merely about overcoming personal problems but also about showing compassion, forgiveness, kindness and encouragement to others.
Faith sustains us in trouble, hope strengthens our expectations, and love guides our relationship with God and humanity.

Five Lessons for Every Believer
Faith gives us peace with God through Jesus Christ.
Trouble does not cancel God's promises.
Perseverance develops godly character.
Hope in God does not ultimately disappoint.
Love must remain the foundation of our spiritual gifts and Christian service.

Sunday Tonic Prayer
Heavenly Father, strengthen my faith whenever I encounter the storms of life. Let every tribulation produce perseverance, every perseverance develop godly character, and every character strengthen my hope in You.
Lord, deliver me from fear, discouragement and unbelief. Fill my heart with Your love through the Holy Spirit.
May my faith triumph over every challenge, and may my testimony bring glory to Your holy name.
In Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

Final Declaration
“My trouble will not swallow my faith. My trials will strengthen my character, my hope will not be put to shame, and through Jesus Christ, I shall overcome!”
