SP Mariam Busola Ogunmolasuyi whose physical look in terms of stature and age, ordinarily connotes a vulnerable being, her prodigy in policing, coupled with her intelligence and hardwork prides her amongst very few promising and personable youths this present generation should look up to bring sanity into the society.
Mariam score sheet as a crime buster par excellence cannot be less described as superfluous.
Her assumption in office as Officer-in-Charge of Anti-Piracy Unit, Zone-2 Command Headquarters Onikan,Lagos, has significantly given the zone a new lease of life as criminal elements have had to turn a new leaf or taken their incorrigible negative lifestyles out of the Zone, for fear of falling into the operatives' dragnets that are spread across the nooks and crannies of the Zone.
SP. Mariam, a graduate of University of Lagos UNILAG akoka where she bags a Bachelor’s Degree in Cell Biology & Genetics as well as Master’s Degree in Criminology from same University and got enlisted into the Police Force on the 19th of April, 2010 as Cadet Asp II.
Sp. Mariam's unwavering gallantry, crime bursting and investigation prowess won her a nomination as one of the best three police investigators and also the only woman officer nominated in that category in the entire Nigeria police force at the just concluded police award and commendation ceremony signed by IGP Kayode Egbetokun PhD, npm in Abuja on Monday 15th April 2024.
She was presented with a commendation certificate in recognition of her professionalism, discipline exemplary dedication to duty and outstanding performances in crime detection and investigation in the Nigeria police force 2023'
Other previous awards and commendations won by Sp. Ogunmolasuyi Busola Mariam includes IGP medal for courage in 2012, She won Most Outstanding Police Officer Award by Junior Chambers International (JCI) 2012, National Orientation Agency (NOA) civic responsibility medal 2012, Presidential medal for exceptional gallantry and courage in the line of duty from President Goodluck Jonathan 2013, Crime Buster woman of the year award by TM News 2023 and many other awards too numerous to mention.
SP Mariam is highly trained and well committed police officer whose professionalism, dedication and commitment to duty is worth emulating.
