VENO NEWS: Oba Day Celebration: Adeleye Congratulates Oloba of Oba, Oba Adegoroye, Others

Congratulations to his Royal majesty,the Oloba of Oba Akoko,Oba Nurudeen Adegoroye, the Chiefs,the iyalojas and iyalajes,the good people of Oba Akoko and particularly my father High Chief JOI ADELEYE (The Onitekun of Oba Akoko ) on the occasion of this year Oba day celebration coming up on Saturday 9th September 2023.
May the hand of God continue to be mighty upon our land.May he bless all the sons and daughters of this ancient city and bring rapid development both physically, economically and spiritually to this town.
Oba Akoko is a major town in Akoko South West Local Government. We are the gateway to Akokoland as it is the first settlement encountered in a northward direction from the Owo community into the Akoko community.
The people of Oba Akoko are accommodating and receptive.Just like every other town in Akoko land Oba- Akoko, a distinguished town in Akoko axis of Yoruba nation in the southwest , Nigeria have a socio-cultural value concept known as Omoluka analogous also refer to as Omoluabi which summarizes the ethos and virtues of the ideal Akoko man or woman with identity of integrity or uprightness.
Oba Akoko sons and daughters are well read and are in all nations of the world.
Farming is a predominant occupation in Akoko generally and Oba in Particular and pounded yam with Isapa or itio soup is our best food.
