Date: 28-12-22

That death snatched these prominent igbara Oke High chiefs recently is no longer news.. But the rife scenario and the circumstances surrounded their demise remains strange. Although, the gossip merchants have been pending rumour around alleging that the revered monarch,Olowa of igbara Oke has been unconcerned about the ugly trends of the death of the young chiefs in the nodal town..

From an anonymous and a reliable source, this medium gathered that their sudden death was as a result of their actions and inactions. According to the source in his dialect “Ohun ki olukaluku je loo yoo o” The four of them are betrayers and making things difficult for the paramount ruler..

Their ordeal began when Sapetu died, they violated the ritual rite. The sources revealed how it is stated in igbara Oke tradition that all properties taken from the deceased (Sapetu) should be taken to the next high ranking chief known as Ejemu

Thus, they shared some of the properties owned by the deceased contrary to the tradition..Ewure etutu ( goat for the sacrifice), high ranking chief will use his leg to match it and his head will be taken to Ejemu's house

The four of them that died after one another other shared everything from Sapetu's house. Taboo!

Consequently, when they were alive, they alleged that Chief Ejemu had stolen the goat and we gathered that the matter was reported to the Kabiyesi who carried out an investigation and uncovered the truth. To cut the death story short, nemesis caught up with them gushed the source.

All efforts to reach the Kabiyesi for a comment proved abortive and no response from a message sent to the High Chief Ejemu for a comment.
As at the time of writing this report, the vacant seats are yet to be replaced and whoever that will fill the gap must follow the tradition in order to avoid another untimely death. Investigation continues. Happy new year to our numerous readers..
