VENO NEWS:MRS. BELINDA ADERONKE ODENEYE APPOINTED BOARD CHAIR OF LAGOS WASTE FORUM

The immediate past Permanent Secretary, Office of Environmental Services, Ministry of the Environment, Lagos State Mrs. Belinda Aderonke Odeneye has been appointed as the Board Chairman, Lagos Waste Forum.
According to a statement released by the forum’s President Amb. Obuesi Phillips, Mrs. Odeneye was unanimously voted the Chairman of the Board following her overwhelming nomination by other board members.
Other members of the board includes Mr. Ola Oresanya, the SA on Environment to the Ogun State Governor, Dr. Mfon Archinong, a health and safety professional a Director of Grace Restoration Centre, United States, Mrs. Nwamaka Onyemelukwe, Director, Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability, Coca-Cola Nigeria and Amb. Theodore Ognonna, a development professional.
Since its inception, the Lagos Waste Forum has become the most strategic gathering of both public and private sector professionals, environment and waste management sector stakeholders discussing the future of waste. The forum, a high-level multi-stakeholder meeting on Waste reduction and management, promotes expository conversations on innovative ideas in pursuit of sustainability and circular economy.
Mrs. Odeneye promises to bring her passion, wealth of experience, and goodwill to lead the forum in pursuit of its global agenda to become a destination of choice for all leading development professionals promoting sustainable waste management.
The Secretariat of Lagos Waste Forum will soon announce details for the hosting of the 3rd and 2022 edition of the forum.
