FARMING Bishop Ojo Harvests Plantain From His Farm, Encourages Nigerians to Embrace Agriculture

Bishop Dr. Sanya Ojo has recorded another harvest from his farm, as fresh bunches of plantain were harvested from the plantation.
The cleric, who is also passionate about agriculture and self-reliance, described farming as a productive venture capable of providing food, creating jobs and generating additional income for families.
According to Bishop Ojo, Nigerians should not regard farming as an occupation meant only for people in rural communities. He stressed that individuals can start on a small scale by cultivating available land and gradually expand their agricultural activities.
He noted that the successful plantain harvest is another demonstration that dedication, patience and proper attention to farming can produce rewarding results.
“Whatever your profession or calling, you can still embrace agriculture. Plant something today and, by the grace of God, you will have something to harvest tomorrow,” Bishop Ojo said.
He encouraged young people in particular to explore opportunities in plantain cultivation, vegetable farming, poultry and other areas of agriculture rather than depending solely on white-collar employment.
The harvest also underscores the importance of supporting local food production at a time when many Nigerian households are concerned about the rising cost of food.
