His Presence FC Defeats ODK FC 4–1 in Opening Match
The much-anticipated Jagunmolu Super Cup 2026, organized by Silversport Nigeria Limited, officially commenced in a colorful and exciting atmosphere at the CMS Playing Ground, Shomolu-Bariga, Lagos State.
The opening match of the tournament witnessed an impressive performance from His Presence FC, who secured a convincing 4–1 victory over ODK FC, setting the pace for what promises to be an exciting football competition.
The event was graced by the presence of His Royal Majesty, Oba Gbolahan Akanbi Timson, Jagunmolu III of Shomolu-Bariga Kingdom, whose support and commitment to youth development and grassroots football continue to inspire young athletes across the community.
Also present at the opening ceremony was the CEO of Silversport Nigeria Limited and Director of Oduduwa Sport Limited, Prince Kolawole Oripinye, alongside members of the board, football stakeholders, coaches, club officials, supporters, and community leaders.
Speaking at the event, the organizers reiterated that the Jagunmolu Super Cup serves as a platform for discovering young football talents, promoting discipline, encouraging healthy competition, and empowering youths through sports.
The tournament forms part of the qualification process leading to the prestigious Oduduwa Football Tournament 2026, which aims to unite the six South-West states of Nigeria through football while promoting cultural heritage and grassroots sports development.
Fans were treated to entertaining football as His Presence FC displayed skill, teamwork, and determination to emerge victorious with a 4–1 win over ODK FC.
The Jagunmolu Super Cup is expected to continue attracting football lovers, scouts, and stakeholders as teams compete for glory and the opportunity to advance to the next stage of the competition.
