First Bank of Nigeria Limited has launched a Naira Visa Debit Card in partnership with Visa, aimed at expanding access to reliable electronic payments for everyday Nigerians.
The new card is designed for routine spending, including shopping, utility payments, ATM withdrawals, POS transactions and online purchases. It is expected to support Nigeria’s cashless policy by helping more people move from cash-based transactions to secure digital payments.
Speaking on the launch, Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive, eBusiness & Retail Products, FirstBank, said the card will make everyday transactions simple, secure and rewarding.
Also commenting, Andrew Uaboi, Vice President and Cluster Head, West Africa, Visa, said the partnership strengthens Nigeria’s payment ecosystem and supports financial inclusion.
The Naira Visa Debit Card is affordable, widely accepted and built for everyday use.
