Nollywood actor, Aremu Afolayan, has publicly apologized to Nigerians in an emotional and heartfelt message, expressing deep regret over his recent stance and statements.

“I am very sorry… My heart is heavy. Kindly forgive me. I did not take money from any man.”

“The second narration is insecurity, and it is obvious that the government is not doing enough.”

“Don’t answer any script that somebody asked you to read. Anybody saying all is well is not being truthful.”

The actor revealed a painful personal experience to buttress his claims:
“My best friend’s mother was kidnapped, and we paid ransom… E pe te se fun mi poo.”
This, he said, opened his eyes to the harsh realities many Nigerians face daily.

In a tone filled with humility, Aremu appealed for forgiveness:
“There is insecurity in Nigeria… e dakun, e dariji mi (please forgive me).”
He further stated that he takes full responsibility for his actions and has decided to step away from political involvement:
“I take responsibility… I know your choice is not Tinubu. I warned Lege, and I am withdrawing myself from politics.”
