VENO tv: Politics The Battle of Political Sons Begins.. By Kayode Adoide
Date: 05-03-26

As the road to 2027 Presidential Election gradually unfolds, two influential sons of Nigerian political heavyweights are stepping into the spotlight.

Seyi Tinubu has recently stepped into the political spotlight, actively campaigning and mobilising support for the second-term ambition of his father, Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Seyi has been engaging Nigerian youths across the country, urging them to support his father’s administration. He has also reached out to members of the entertainment industry, highlighting what he describes as the achievements of the current government and encouraging them to cast their votes for President Tinubu in 2027.
In what appears to be a dramatic counter-move, Adamu Atiku Abubakar has also stepped up his political stance. This comes amid rumours that he was planning to defect to the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State.
However, events took a different turn when Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri reportedly moved politically away from the Peoples Democratic Party. Shortly after, Adamu Atiku resigned from his position as a commissioner in the Fintiri administration.
Observers say the move signals loyalty to his father, Atiku Abubakar. According to a source who spoke in confidence, “Sometimes you make sacrifices even when it is not convenient.”
Political watchers believe the younger generation of political figures may begin to play a visible role in shaping the narrative ahead of the 2027 elections.
If there is Seyi Tinubu on one side, many believe there is also Adamu Atiku on the other side.
All eyes are now gradually turning toward what could become a major political showdown in 2027 between Atiku Abubakar and Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
More details coming…
