VENO tv: Edo State Governor Challenges Arise tv Anchors to Visit Edo
Date: 04-03-26

By Kayode Adoide
The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has challenged Arise TV presenters Reuben Abati and Rufai Oseni to visit Edo State and assess the infrastructure projects executed by his administration.
Governor Okpebholo made this statement during a political rally on Wednesday while welcoming defectors from the Labour Party to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the governor, he is ready to formally invite the duo to Edo State so they can carry out an on-the-spot assessment of the development projects under his administration.
He expressed confidence that once they see the infrastructural progress in the state, they would reconsider their criticisms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and possibly support his second-term bid in the 2027 presidential election.
The governor further assured the President that Edo State remains firmly behind him, adding that President Tinubu can “go to sleep” politically after commissioning projects in the state soon.
Okpebholo also stated that there may be little need for extensive campaigning in Edo ahead of the 2027 elections, expressing optimism that if governors across the 32 states perform effectively, President Tinubu would secure victory at the polls.
