A Nigerian national identified as Emeka Uzor, a native of Enugu State, has been reportedly killed in South Africa on Sunday, sparking outrage among Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora.
The Nigerian Community Association in South Africa (NICASA) has strongly condemned the killing and called on South African authorities to ensure that the perpetrators are swiftly identified, arrested, and brought to justice.
In a statement, the association expressed deep concern over the recurring attacks on Nigerian citizens in South Africa and urged the government to take decisive steps to protect foreign nationals, prevent further violence, and restore confidence in public safety.
The association also appealed to the Nigerian government and diplomatic missions to closely follow up the matter and ensure that justice is served for the late Emeka Uzor and his grieving family.
