During the course of the work, a long-abandoned grave site — untouched for over 23 years — was inadvertently exhumed, revealing the remains of a husband and wife interred together, with a notable contrast between their states of preservation
As expected, the wife's body had fully decomposed after over two decades of subterranean internment, with only skeletal remains surviving. In stark contrast, however, the husband's corpse was discovered in an astonishingly pristine state, with his skin and facial features remarkably preserved, and his burial attire appearing clean and unstained, as though the passage of time had been arrested
