President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, for his commitment to infrastructural development in Abuja, describing him as a leader focused on delivery rather than empty promises.
The President's commendation came during the official commissioning of road projects in the Federal Capital Territory, including the Tunda Madaki corridor and adjoining communities linked to the Airport Road in Abuja.
Represented by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu praised Wike's performance and dedication to transforming the nation's capital.
According to the President, "No story, no delay, but delivery." He noted that the administration is making difficult decisions today to secure a better future for generations yet unborn.
President Tinubu acknowledged the economic challenges facing Nigerians, saying, "I know the cost of living is biting harder," but assured citizens that ongoing reforms and infrastructure investments would ultimately yield long-term benefits.
"We are not building for paper headlines; we are building for the generations yet unborn," the President stated.
He further applauded Wike, popularly nicknamed Mr. Project, for setting a high standard in infrastructure development within the FCT.
"Wike, you have set the pace in Abuja, and we are pleased with your performance," the President said.
The commissioned roads are expected to improve transportation, boost economic activities, and enhance the quality of life for residents of the affected communities.
The speech was delivered by Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the event.
