As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community development, Veno Prayer Centre has launched a plastic pick-up drive aimed at promoting a cleaner environment while creating economic opportunities for young people in Ayede, Ogun State.

The initiative, led by Bishop Dr. Sanya Ojo SOMH Cares, encourages members of the church and residents to collect discarded plastic waste from streets and public spaces for recycling instead of allowing it to pollute the environment.

According to Bishop Ojo, the project is designed to complement the environmental sanitation efforts of the Ogun State Government while raising awareness about the importance of proper waste management and environmental responsibility.

He noted that beyond keeping the community clean, the programme is expected to empower youths through the recycling value chain by creating opportunities for income generation and encouraging productive engagement.

Bishop Ojo further urged residents to embrace cleanliness as a collective responsibility, stressing that a healthy environment contributes to better living conditions and sustainable development.

The plastic pick-up drive is one of several
community-focused initiatives undertaken by Veno Prayer Centre in its continuing efforts to promote social impact, environmental protection, and community empowerment in Ogun State.
