Members of the Celebrity Journal Publishers Association of Nigeria (CJPAN), led by President Funmi Olowosegun, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, Moyosore Adebanjo, praising his innovative leadership and rapid developmental strides.
The visit at the council secretariat acknowledged achievements recorded since he assumed office and explored deeper media–government collaboration to promote good governance. Olowosegun described Adebanjo as focused and results-driven, assuring CJPAN’s support in amplifying the LCDA’s progress.
F.I.N.E Agenda in Action
Adebanjo said his administration is guided by the F.I.N.E Agenda—Foster Economic Growth, Invest in the People, Nurture Ideas and Enterprises, Ensure Wellbeing—with measurable outcomes in the first 100 days across youth development, education, welfare, health, infrastructure, environment, security, and economic empowerment.
Key highlights include:
Youth & Education: Moyosore Youth Championship Cup; NDLEA-supported drug abuse sensitization; inauguration of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Onigbongbo EXCO; 2025 Spelling Bee; Back-to-School Initiative; ICT support for voter pre-registration; free laptops for students with CGPA 4.0+.
Welfare & Health: Free health insurance for ~300 seniors (60+); jobs for vulnerable households; Moyo Pink Walk breast cancer awareness; plan to recruit six doctors to deliver 24-hour services across seven PHCs.
Infrastructure & Environment: Road rehabilitation on Olorunfunmi Street, Abiola Crescent, and Afolabi Awosanya Street; reactivation of the waste compactor for regular evacuation.
Economic Empowerment: Distribution of CNG tricycles; ?50,000/?25,000 trade grants to 119 market women and petty traders; tourism promotion; hosting of a Brampton, Canada delegation. The chairman noted the LCDA hosts major hospitality brands—Sheraton, Marriott, Providence and Cubana—positioning Onigbongbo as a hospitality hub.
Security: Forthcoming O’Marshal Security Initiative; refurbished patrol vans to bolster safety.
Sustainability: Launch of Eco-Circulate Waste-to-Wealth Programme, in partnership with the Office of the Special Adviser on Climate Change and Circular Economy and PAKAM, enabling residents to exchange recyclables for cash and essentials.
Revenue Reforms: Engagement of a senior tax professional and a University of Lagos Professor of Law to align bylaws with federal tax reforms.
CJPAN commended the chairman’s vision and pledged sustained media partnership to spotlight the LCDA’s developmental impact.
